Title: The application of yield line theory to bridge
assessment by P.A. Jackson
Publisher: Southampton Gifford and Partners 1991
Physical description: iii, 40 leaves ill
Series: Prepared for Department of Transport, report GP
4607.o1
Notes - general: a study of research shows that yield line methods are
suitable for the assessment of many bridges of slab or
beam and slab form. There are, however, limitations
on the circumstances in which the method has been
shown to be safe. In particular, all sections have to
be ductile and the shear strength has to be adequate.
Simple riles are propsoed which define the
circumstances in which the method can be used.
