Abstract: The beams of series F were double cantilevers, with the top cast main bars exposed 'half-barrel'. In each specimen, the cantilever, which was under test, was subjected to four concentrated forces simulating uniformly distributed loading, while the balancing cantilever, which was longer, was held down by a single tie system at its far end. The simulated uniform loading was stopped short a little before the support.
