Tests are reporte on two half-scaletwin double-cantilever composite girders with Class 4 webs. Inone, lateral stability of the bottoem flanges was provided by continous U-frame action; and in the other, by discrete U-frames that included the shear connection and the concrete slab, which was reinforced as the deck of a hoghway bridge. Four distinct types of lateral buckling failure were observed. They are discussed in relation to three design methods, including that of Eurocode 4: Part 1.1
