Highways Agency Reports

This report describes the laboratory assessment of the prototype dowel bar locator which involved calibrating the instrument before undertaking field trials. Estimates have been made of the accuracy of the instrument and the repeatability of the measurements. This work was not performed on dowel bars embedded in concrete for the reasons explained in the report.
