| Notes | An instrumented drilling system is described. The instrumnetation was developed by the Imperial Collage of Science and Technology for a Diamec 250 drilling machine. Drilling trials carried outwith the system in Lower Chalk at Chinnor are briefly reported pending publication of the full results by the Imperial College. Some observations on the possible adaption of the system to probing ahead are made. |
