       Notes - general: In August 1998, the Highways Agency commissioned
                        Thorbutn Colquhoun to produce, inter alia, a draft
                        Advice Note on the use of vegetative systems in the
                        conveyance and treatment of highway run-off.  As aprt
                        of the study, a report was required to advice where
                        amendments may be needed to parts of the DMRB and
                        TRMM.  This is a report advising where such amendments
                        may be needed.
