Notes - general: The object of the study is to relate accident
frequencies on single-carriageway rural trunk roads to
traffic flows and to a number of variables describing
the layout of the road such as bends, hills, verge
widths and so on. This initial report describes the
identification of sites for study and of the variables
which are to be investigated, and reviews the
available sources of data and the proposed method of
procedure.
