       Notes - general: This paper describes a number of tests on the web of
                        box to deckplate joint over a number of years and
                        includes some trials that were carried out to streng
                        then the joint.  Provisional test results were sent to
                        SASC and the consulting engineers (Flint and Neill) as
                        they were produced, but the normal traffic test
                        results are new data.
