By Train
There is a frequent rail service to London (King's Cross and Liverpool Street) and good cross country links.
The railway station is about 30 minutes walk, or a short taxi ride from King's College. To walk, go down Station Road; turn right at the War Memorial into Hills Road. Turn left at the traffic lights outside the (large) Catholic Church into Lensfield Road. At the end of Lensfield Road, turn right at the mini-roundabout. You are in Trumpington Street. Walk North (you should pass a small Post Office on your right) along Trumpington Street. You will walk past the Judge Institute of Management Studies on your right, the Fitzwilliam Museum and Porterhouse on your left, and Pembroke College on your right. Cross Dowining Street and continue straight on. You are now in Kings' Parade. Continue along Kings' Parade. King's college is on the left.
By Air
The closest airport offering scheduled flights is Stansted, which is 30 miles from Cambridge. A regular bus service and a direct train service run from Stansted to the city:
- Buses from Stansted to Cambridge Drummer Street (town centre) depart approximately hourly. National Express.
- Trains from Stansted to Cambridge Station depart approximately half hourly. The station is a 20 minute walk or short bus or taxi ride to college from train station.
- A Taxi from Stansted to Cambridge takes approximately 30 minutes. A1 CABCO (Tel: +44 1223 525555) will meet your flight if you pre-book.
Once at King's College
Upon arrival at King's College, on Kings' Parade, Cambridge, go to the Porters' Lodge, and ask for directions to the Bridge Owners Forum in the Beves Room.
